We read in Exodus about the Israelites that complained that Moses had taken them out of Egypt so that they would die in the wilderness. The Israelites had forgotten that they were in bondage and that the life they had in Egypt was a life of slavery. MOSES WAS THEIR DELIVERER!
Christians can face this very same scenario in their lives. Before we had ever become a Christian we were tossed to and fro in the seas of uncertainty. Why are we here, where did we come from, where are we going? Jesus finds us right where we are and brings us safely to the peaceful shore’s of certainty. And on that shore there is SPIRITUAL PEACE, PROSPERITY AND PROTECTION. Jesus is the lighthouse that guides us safety back to the shore.
Often like the Israelites in the Exodus we decide that the old life style that we once had looks tempting . We think we had it better back in the old music, drugs, alcohol, friendships lifestyles and so we grab our little boats and head back out to sea, THE SEA OF UNCERTAINTY, we find that it is dangerous out there and we see many others around us struggling in the storms. Sadly we think God is not going to easily accept us back but in desperation we cry out to Him and like a lighthouse He guides us back in! As long as we stay on the shores of His safety we don’t have to worry about seas of uncertainty! The spiritual destruction that arises from being away from Jesus is avoidable if we will stay close to Jesus! JESUS IS OUR DELIVERER!
Don’t go back to to sea!
The Christian life isn’t always easy but when we walk close to Jesus we have a spiritual strength that is not easily shaken. Grace and Peace!
